1991: Sign Language

This card was expressed in the “Standard Manual Alphabet”, an element of British Sign Language. This is the version of signing for deaf and hearing-impaired people where the hands simply express single letters and spell out words. The detail of the card was derived from a translation card published by the Royal National Institute for the Deaf (since renamed the Royal National Institute for Deaf People and now trading as RNID).

I am sorry that – as there is no punctuation in this signing method – I had to use “ninety two” in place of the “ninety-two” required by correct English.
